ARTIST BIO I am an emerging figurative artist working with the narrative and abstraction. My work focuses on the process of drawing and painting, having a sense of immediacy, and depicting an honest reaction to the subject matter. I am interested in exploring relationships, allegories, and ambiguities to create an emotional response. By using the figure, there is a potential for a subjective narrative developing a dialogue between the art and the viewer. I am originally from North Carolina now residing in Minnesota. I received my BFA in Painting in 2006 from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I plan on attending graduate school to attain my MFA in Painting. I participate in exhibitions and work from my studio located in Minneapolis.
